Tulsa Golfers Open Season Monday at Trinity Forest Invitational

GOLF NOTES

TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team will open the 2021 season at the Trinity Forest Invitational, February 1-2, in Dallas, Texas. The 54-hole, two-day event will take place at the par-72 Trinity Forest Golf Course.
 
Participating teams include Baylor, BYU, Chattanooga, Kansas State, Memphis, Missouri State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTSA and Washington.
 
The 14-team field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday, both days starting at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The teams will play as fivesomes with their own teammates.
 
Tulsa's team will consist of senior Taylor Dobson, from local Broken Arrow High School, senior Haley Greb, junior Lorena Tseng, sophomore Lilly Thomas and freshman Tita Loudtragulngam.
 
Tseng has recorded 15 top-20 performances in 19 career tournaments, has eight top-5 finishes and two career victories. Dobson had three top-20 performances last season, while Greb and Thomas each played in seven tournaments last year.
 
Loudtragulngam spent three years at Anaheim Discovery Christian School and was named the 2019 San Joaquin League Player of the Year.
 
The Hurricane will be playing in its first tournament since ending the 2019-20 season on Feb. 25 with a seventh-place performance at the ICON Invitational. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic last spring, Tulsa's final two regular season events and the American Athletic Conference Championship were canceled.
