
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts Temple on Saturday Night

The Tulsa men's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium to host Temple on Saturday, October 16, beginning at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. The Golden Hurricane is ranked seventh in both the Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News polls, and eighth in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Tulsa started the season with a 9-0 mark but dropped a 3-2 decision at UCF last week.
As a team, Tulsa ranks first in the nation in penalty kicks (1.00), sixth in won-lost-tied percentage (0.900), ninth in scoring offense (2.60), 10th in goal differential (18), 11th in shot accuracy (0.497), 16th in saves percentage (0.818), 18th in total goals (26), 22nd in shutout percentage (0.500), 24th in total points (74), 27th in goals-against average (0.783) and 33rd in total assists (22).
Twelve players have scored a goal for Tulsa, including a team-best seven goals by both Alex Meinhard and Malik Henry-Scott, and two goals by Takayoshi Wyatt, while nine others have one score (one goal was an own goal). Alex Lopez has logged 813 minutes between the posts, picking up 27 saves for a 0.771 saves percentage and allowing eight goals for a 0.89 goals-against average.
Temple has a 2-6-2 mark on the season, including a 0-5 mark in American Athletic Conference play. Mike Eijgendaal and Nigel Griffith both have a team-bet two scores, while four others have one goal on the year. Liam Cummings and Eoin Gawronski have split time in goal for a combined 45 saves for a 0.726 saves percentage and allowed 17 goals for a 1.60 goals-against average.
Temple has a 3-2-4 lead in the all-time series over Tulsa. In the last meeting, the two teams battled to a 1-1 double-overtime tie in The American semifinals last season, but the Golden Hurricane advanced to the championship match after the shootout.
