
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts Memphis on Friday

Tulsa's fifth-ranked men's soccer team returns to action on Friday, October 22 as they host Memphis beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. The Tulsa-Memphis game is Pride Night. TU men's soccer players will be wearing Tulsa Pride shirts, resources will be made available to fans, and members from the Little Blue House and Dennis R. Neill Equality Center will be in attendance.
The Golden Hurricane is ranked fifth by Top Drawer Soccer, sixth by College Soccer News and 11th in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Tulsa has a 10-1 overall record and a 5-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play.
As a team, Tulsa ranks first in the nation in penalty kicks (1.00), fifth in won-lost-tied percentage (0.909), eighth in scoring offense (2.55), ninth in shot accuracy (0.500), 11th in goal differential (19), 16th in saves percentage (0.809), 19th in total goals (28), 24th in total points (79), 27th in goals-against average (0.802), 31st in shutout percentage (0.455) and 51st in total assists (23).
Thirteen players have scored a goal for Tulsa, including a team-best eight goals by Alex Meinhard, seven by Malik Henry-Scott and two goals by Takayoshi Wyatt, while 10 others have one score (one goal was an own goal). Alex Lopez has logged 903 minutes between the posts, picking up 28 saves for a 0.757 saves percentage and allowing nine goals for a 0.90 goals-against average.
Memphis has a 4-7-1 mark on the season, including a 3-3 mark in American Athletic Conference play, but have tallied a 3-1 mark since facing the Golden Hurricane on Sept. 24. Maximillian Galizzi has a team-best seven goals, while Artur De Luca has three scores and five others have at least one goal. Colin Welsh and Parker Lackland have split time in goal for a combined 57 saves for a 0.722 saves percentage and allowed 22 goals for a 1.79 goals-against average.
Tulsa has a 10-6-3 lead in the all-time series over Memphis, including a 1-0 win earlier this season in Memphis.
