
Tulsa’s Megan Nielsen Named The American Offensive Player of the Week

Tulsa women's soccer player Megan Nielsen was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
A junior forward from Oklahoma City, Okla., Nielsen scored two goals, including the game winner, to give the Tulsa women's soccer team a 4-1 win over Temple. This was Tulsa's first conference road win since topping UConn 3-0 in the 2018 season. Nielsen's goals came in the 23rd and 25th minutes, helping TU take a 3-1 advantage into halftime. Nielsen had a team-best four shots in 84 minutes of play.
This was the first weekly accolade for the Tulsa women's soccer program this season.
