Tulsa Men’s Soccer Hosts UCF on Senior Night This Friday

The Tulsa men's soccer team will close out the regular season at home against UCF on Friday, November 5 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  Prior to the game, TU will honor seniors Ben Barkley, Chase Bromstedt, Mitchell Cashion, Rooks Hunter, Brady Moody and Austen Schweinert.
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.

The Golden Hurricane is ranked fifth by United Soccer Coaches, sixth by Top Drawer Soccer and eighth in the College Soccer News poll.  Tulsa has a 12-1-1 overall record and a 7-1-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play.
 
As a team, Tulsa ranks first in the nation in penalty kicks (1.00), fifth in won-lost-tied percentage (0.893), sixth in scoring offense (2.57), seventh in shot accuracy (0.502), eighth in goal differential (25), 13th in shutout percentage (0.500), 15th in total goals (36), 15th in goals-against average (0.762), 16th in saves percentage (0.804), 20th in total points (101) and 47th in total assists (29).
 
Thirteen players have scored a goal for Tulsa, including a team-best 12 goals by Alex Meinhard, seven by Malik Henry-Scott, three goals by both Ben Barkley and Takayoshi Wyatt, and two by Austen Schweinert, while nine others have one score (one goal was an own goal).  Alex Lopez has logged 1178 minutes between the posts, picking up 33 saves for a 0.750 saves percentage and allowing 11 goals for a 0.84 goals-against average.
 
UCF has an 8-6 mark on the season, including a 6-3 mark in American Athletic Conference play.  Lucca Dourado has a team-best 11 goals and 23 points, while Alessandro Campoy has five scores, and Gino Vivi and Ariel Hadar both have four goals.  Nick Taylor has a team-high eight assists, while Vivi has five.  Tyler Lavigne and Matt Douglass have combined for 45 saves for a 0.608 saves percentage and two clean sheets, while allowing 29 goals for a 2.06 goals-against average.
 
Tulsa has a 12-6-3 lead in the all-time series over UCF, but it was the Knights that picked up a 3-2 win earlier this season in Orlando.
