Tulsa to Play Wichita State in Kansas Before Hosting Temple

TULSA, Okla. – Sitting at 12-11 on the season, and 7-7 in American Athletic Conference play, the Tulsa volleyball team is set to play at Wichita State tomorrow night at 7 pm before hosting Temple at noon on Sunday, November 14th.
 
Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+. Tulsa is currently in seventh of the AAC standings, one game back of sixth place Tulane and two games up on Memphis and East Carolina.
 
The Hurricane are coming off a tough weekend, dropping consecutive home matches to Tulane and Houston. It was the first weekend all season that Tulsa went winless.
 
The Hurricane will look to bounce back this week. Maggie Hembree, who leads the team with 80 blocks, tallied 12 kills against Wichita State on October 20th. In Tulsa wins this season, the Jenks, Oklahoma native has a .304 hitting percentage.
 
Marta Pecalli will also look to continue her strong play. The freshman has recorded double-digit digs in fourteen of the last 16 matches, and her 391 digs on the season are the third-most this season in the American.
 
Tulsa and Wichita State will clash for the 50th time historically, and second time this season. The Shockers won in Tulsa on October 20th in four sets and lead the all-time series 35-14.
 
Tulsa and Temple will meet for the second time this season and 13th time ever. The Golden Hurricane swept the Owls on October 22nd in Philadelphia. Temple leads the all-time series 7-5.
