Callie Cook Breaks All-Time Career Blocks Record at SMU

DALLAS, Texas – Callie Cook becomes the all-time career blocks leader in Tulsa history, amassing her 400th career block, but the Hurricane fall to the Mustangs 3-0 in Moody Coliseum Friday night.

Middle Blockers Dominant for TU
- Callie Cook ended the night with 402 career-blocks, only needing three blocks entering the night to pass Hannah Stout's (2007-10) record of 399 blocks.
- Cook finished the match with 9 kills on 21 attacks for a .333 hitting percentage, while accumulating 5 blocks for the Hurricane.
- Maggie Hembree led the Hurricane during the match recording 13 kills on 17 attacks with only 3 errors for a .588 hitting percentage.
- The Senior middle blocker was vital to the Hurricane on defense as well recording a season-high 8 blocks while also adding 3 digs on the night.
- The Mustangs jumped out to a 9-4 second set lead, but the Hurricane fought back cutting the lead to 13-11 on a kill by Kayley Cassaday.
- Back-to-back blocks by Maggie Hembree, Kylie Trefflich and Roosa Rautio tied the score at 19 all ... a few rallies later the Hurricane took the lead at 23-22 with a Hembree kill.
- A Cook kill and an attack error by the Mustangs gave the Hurricane match point at 26-25 ... however, the Mustangs fought back to a 29-28 match point.
- The set ended with a rotation error called by the official on the Hurricane to give the Mustangs a 30-28 set win.
Rautio and Overmyer
- Hannah Overmyer continued to play well from her new libero position, making diving digs for the Hurricane ... she finished with a team-high 19 digs as well as one of two TU service aces.
- Rautio led the Hurricane again in assists, putting in 29 assists on 38 Hurricane kills ... she added five blocks and 3 digs during the contest.

- Tulsa will take on the Mustangs in the final game of the weekend tomorrow, Saturday March 13, at 2:00 p.m. in Moody Coliseum on ESPN+
