
Coach Gets Milestone Victory No. 300

TULSA, Okla. –– Dean Orford claimed his 300th career coaching victory when his Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's tennis team captured a 4-3 victory over the 30th-ranked Texas Tech on Wednesday.
In his 16th season, Orford has posted an overall 300-103 record as the Hurricane coach for a .744 winning percentage, including an outstanding 175-26 home record at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Tulsa has compiled an 8-4 record this season.
Orford has led the Hurricane to nine 20-win seasons, 12 NCAA tournament appearances and eight conference championships in his tenure. His 2017-18 team advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and had a final national ranking of No. 19. He has been named the conference coach of the year seven times.
Tulsa's home-stand continues on Saturday with a 12:30 p.m. match against the Wichita State Shockers.
