The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to ECU on Saturday afternoon at Johnson Stadium in Greenville, N.C.  The Golden Hurricane fell to 1-6 on the season, while ECU moved to 3-4-2 overall.

"We were in this game even down 2-0 at halftime," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said.  "We created three or four good chance in the first 10 minutes of the second half.  We missed a penalty kick, we hit the cross bar and we had a goal that was called back due to an offsides call.  We were right there, but we didn't put together a complete 90 minutes and we didn't play with urgency for 90 minutes.  When we have our lapses other teams are able to find a way to score goals.  We'll learn a lot from this year because we have the talent and ability to get better."

Madie Knaggs put the Pirates on the board at the 18:51 mark off a combination from Tori Riggs and Carsen Parker, and then in the 30th minute Annabelle Abbott gave ECU a two-goal cushion that they took into halftime.  Cashlin Copley added a score in the 56th minute and Catherine Holbrook posted one at the 79:27 mark for the final score.

ECU had a 20-9 lead in shots, including a 11-6 advantage in shots on goal, and a 10-3 lead in corner kicks.

Gabriella Borboa, Madison Tokarchik and Averee Dubach all had a team-best two shots, while three others had one attempt.  Raegan Beeding logged all 90 minutes, earning her first collegiate start in goal, and picked up seven saves.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, April 11 against SMU beginning at 1:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
