Tulsa Women’s Soccer Adds Two More for 2021 Roster

Tulsa women's soccer head coach Kyle Cussen announced today the addition of Jadyn Chee and Georgia Vernardakis to the 2021 roster.
Chee, a 5-4 forward from Tulsa, Okla., transferred to Tulsa after playing her freshman season at West Virginia. As a Mountaineer, she played in five games for an average of 21.2 minutes per game. Chee previously played for the Tulsa Soccer Club Hurricane and Oklahoma Energy FC Development Academy. She was ranked No. 1 by Top Drawer Soccer in the south region and was the No. 42 forward nationally. Chee was a five-time Top Drawer Soccer Standout, a 2018 ECNL PDP Invite, a three-time ECNL North Texas Player to Watch and led her ECNL team to a runner-up finish in the 2017 North American Cup. Chee was also a member of the Jenks High School track and field team for one season, earning the 2018 Outstanding Sprinter Award and was a state finalist in the 100m.
A 5-8 defender from Manchester, England, Vernardakis transferred to Tulsa from Baker University (2019-21) after playing two seasons at Johnson County Community College (2017-19). As a Wildcat, she helped her team post a two-year record of 22-13-2 and earn a NAIA National Tournament berth in 2021, and as a Cavalier helped record 26 wins. Vernardakis has tallied 23 goals and nine assists for 55 career points. She was a NJCAA All-American as a freshman and an NAIA All-American as a senior, a two-time Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time first-team all-East KJCCC honoree and all-region VI first-team selection, a two-time Heart of America all-conference selection and the Heart of America Newcomer of the Year as a junior. Vernardakis played club soccer for Manchester City for nine years.
