Former Hurricane star Taylor Horsfall joins staff
TULSA, Okla. ― The University of Tulsa named Tulani Titley and former Tulsa standout Taylor Horsfall to the Golden Hurricane volleyball coaching staff, head coach Ryan Wills announced today.
Titley, a Houston, Texas native, joins the Hurricane as an assistant coach following a coaching stint at the Houston Skyline Volleyball Club. Titley had her Skyline team ranked as the No. 3 club in the nation by the US Club Rankings in 2019. It was the same club team that Titley competed for while attending South Lake High School.
On the court, Titley enjoyed much success at Angelo State University from 2016-19, as she was a member of two Lone Star Conference Championship teams. She contributed to the school's historic 34-4 record and NCAA Elite Eight Run in 2016, posting 159 kills in 92 sets played. During her playing career, Angelo State compiled a 103-27 overall record, including a 63-15 record in the Lone Star Conference.
Titley graduated with both bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration, while achieving multiple Athletic Honor Roll accolades in addition to being named to the Dean's List multiple times.
Horsfall, also from Houston, returns to her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach after spending the 2020-21 academic year playing beach volleyball at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She earned first-team all-conference honors on court 2 at TAMCC, ending her career on a four-match win streak.
A four-year starter at Tulsa (2016-19), Horsfall started all 129 matches and 496 sets, set the Tulsa and American Athletic Conference record with 2,489 career digs and her 805 digs as a senior set the school's single-season record and led the NCAA that year. The libero also garnered American Athletic Conference all-league honors three times during her decorated career, twice as a first-team member and one second-team selection.
Horsfall was the two-time American Athletic Conference Libero of the Year and completed her TU career with 10 AAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Horsfall also established the program's single-match digs record with 44 against UCF in 2017, helping her win VolleyMob National Player of the Week honors.
She graduated with her bachelor's degree in psychology from Tulsa in 2020.
