FORT WORTH, Texas ― The Tulsa men's tennis team improved its winning streak to three following Saturday's 4-2 victory over conference foe Wichita State at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Tulsa improves to 3-1 on the season.

For the fourth straight time this season, the Hurricane won the doubles point, notching wins from Stefan Hampe/Ezequiel Santalla on court three and Daniel Siddall/Tom Thelwall-Jones on court two. Adham Gaber/Callum Gale were tied at 6-6 but was unfinished.

Tulsa jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after Gale won in straight sets on court five, 6-3, 6-0, to win his third singles match of the season, while Santalla won his first match of the season at the No. 1 position 6-4, 6-2.

Wichita State would crawl back, winning on courts two and three to cut the deficit to 3-2. After dropping the first set, Connor Di Marco came back to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the victory and advance.

Tulsa will await the winner of TCU and Portland tomorrow at 2 pm CT. The Horned Frogs were ranked No. 4 in the latest ITA Rankings earlier this week.
