Tulsa Drops ITA Kickoff Championship Match to TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas ― The Tulsa men's tennis team fell Sunday afternoon to No. 4 TCU 4-0 in the ITA Kickoff Championship. TCU advances to the National Team Indoor Championships with the win, while Tulsa drops to 3-2 on the season.
TCU took the doubles point, but Tulsa held its own during the doubles play. After Adham Gaber/Callum Gale battled to a 6-3 loss, TCU's Tin Ruehl/Juan Carlos Aguilar just edged out Stefan Hampe/Ezequiel Santalla 6-4. Daniel Siddall/Tom Thelwall-Jones were down 6-5 when doubles ended.
With four courts available, the Horned Frogs got off to a quick start in the singles play, winning the first set on each court before continuing their momentum into four straight set wins over the Hurricane.
Tulsa welcomes its first ranked opponent into the Michael D. Case Tenns Center, when No. 15 Pepperdine comes to town at 12 pm on February 6th.
