Tulsa Golfers Place Sixth at the Jim West Challenge

SAN MARCOS, Texas –– The Tulsa women's golf team finished in sixth place on Tuesday at the Jim West Challenge to close out the fall season. The Golden Hurricane posted a 54-hole score of 867 at the par-72 Kissing Tree Golf Club course.
Tulsa carded a final round 291 to finish at 3-over par for the event in the 15-team field.
Hurricane freshman Grace Kilcrease had her fourth top-10 finish of the season with a fourth-place performance. She carded a final round even-par 72 for a 5-under par total score of 211. Senior Lilly Thomas placed 11th with a final total of 2-under par 214 after a 2-under par score of 70 in final round action.
Freshman Emily Boehrer finished in 35th place with a 220 total score, while Sydney Seigel placed 49th with a 224 score and Lovisa Gunnar finished in 64th place with a 228.
Oklahoma State won the team title with a 9-under par 855 total score, while Tulane's Carla Bernat and Houston's Moa Svedenskiold tied for individual medalist honors with 8-under scores of 208.
Tulsa concluded the fall season with three top-5 finishes and two tournament victories in five events. The Hurricane will open spring action at the Columbia Classic, Feb. 11-13, at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida.
