Tulsa Golfers Claim the Barbara Nicklaus Cup Team Title

DUBLIN, Ohio –– The Tulsa women's golf team captured the Barbara Nicklaus Cup team championship on Tuesday at the Muirfield Village Golf Club with a final round 320 for a 952 total score.
 
Tulsa beat-out second place Maryland by seven strokes as the Terps finished with a score of 959. TCU placed third followed by Furman, Colorado, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin in the eight-team field.
 
Tulsa freshman Grace Kilcrease tied for second-place for her second top-10 performance in three events as a rookie. She turned in a final round 76 to finish two strokes behind the individual leader, Sofia Barroso Sa of TCU.  
 
Sophomore Lovisa Gunnar placed in an eighth-place tie with a score of 239, while freshman Emily Boehrer was one stroke back at 240 for 11th place. The Golden Hurricane saw sophomore Sydney Seigel finish in 27th place at 251 and senior Lilly Thomas placed 29th overall with a 253 final score.
 
Tulsa will be back in action on Monday as the Hurricane hosts the Dale McNamara Invitational next Monday-Tuesday, Oct.10-11, at Cedar Ridge Country Club.
