No. 41 Tulsa Drops Road Match at No. 56 Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. ― The 41st ranked Tulsa women's tennis team dropped Saturday's road match at No. 56 Kansas State, 4-2. Tulsa falls to 10-6 on the season.

Tulsa started off the match with the upper hand, winning the doubles point to go up 1-0. Valeriya Rozenkova/Maria Berlanga won No. 1 doubles 6-2, before Laia Conde Monfort/Shura Poppe followed it up with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. The Hurricane are now 32-9 in doubles play this spring.

Lily Hutchings continued Tulsa's momentum in singles play, winning 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. Hutchings is now 8-5 in dual season singles and has won consecutive matches.

Tulsa will return to action next Friday, April 1st, playing at Oral Roberts at 2 p.m. before hosting Kansas City at 2 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
