
Jeriah Horne Selected to Compete in 2022 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship

TULSA, Okla. –– University of Tulsa graduate senior forward Jeriah Horne has been selected to compete in the 2022 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship at The Sugar Mill in New Orleans, April 1-3.
Horne will play with American Made, a four-player team compiled of athletes from The American and Conference USA. The Overland Park, Kan. native started 29 games for the Golden Hurricane this past season and averaged a team-leading 16.2 points per game and 6.9 rebounds while shooting 45-percent from the field.
In total, the 64 players, who have chosen to pursue professional basketball opportunities, represent each Division I conference. The 16, four-man teams boast an impressive collection of talent that will make for three exciting days of basketball as teams compete for their share of the $150,000 prize pool.
Teams will play each squad in their respective pool on Friday and Saturday before all 16 will head to the knockout stage on Sunday, with the top two teams from each pool receiving byes to the quarterfinals. The winning team from each pool play game will win $1,000, victories in the first two knockout rounds will net another $1,000, a quarterfinal win is worth $5,000, a semifinal triumph is another $10,000, while the team that takes home the Tournament title will add $50,000 to their winnings.
Forty of the 64 players competing in the event earned All-Conference honors this season. Of those 40, 21 earned first-team accolades, four won their league's Player of the Year award and 20 were recognized as NABC All-District performers.
Horne and American Made will open pool play Friday at 1 p.m. against Tobacco Road Ryders, a collection of players from the ACC and Big South. The game will air on ESPNU.
