Third-Seeded Tulsa Women Take on Houston Thursday in AAC Quarterfinals

TULSA, Okla.
― The Tulsa women's tennis team will open its postseason play tomorrow morning in the American Athletic Conference Tennis Championships at 9 a.m. against Houston in the quarterfinals at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, where the Hurricane has a 12-3 record.
 
Tulsa is the third seed in the AAC Championship and earned a first-round bye. TU will play sixth seeded Houston, who beat East Carolina in the first round earlier today.
 
The Hurricane finished the year 15-7 and ranked 50th in the ITA Team Rankings that came out earlier today. Tulsa has been in the top-50 since the computerized rankings debuted back in February and closed out the season with back-to-back wins over No. 73 Denver and Temple.
 
This spring, Tulsa has tallied a 69-33 record in singles play, and have four players with double-digit wins in the dual season. In doubles play, Tulsa has dominated opponents, posting a 43-12 record, winning the doubles point in 18 matches this season.
 
First serve is set for 9 a.m. tomorrow, and Admission to the AAC Championships is free all week.
