
Tulsa’s Lilly Thomas Moves into 13th Place at the NCAA Stillwater Regional

TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa junior Lilly Thomas scored an even-par 72 and jumped eight spots into 13th place at the NCAA Stillwater Regional on Tuesday. Thomas opened the day in 21st place and moved into the 13th spot at the par-72 Karsten Creek Course with a 36-hole total of 4-over par 148.
Thomas, a junior from Bentonville, Ark., shot 1-over par through the first nine holes and went to 4-over par after holes 10 and 11. But, Thomas rebounded on the next four holes with a birdie on three of the four holes to stand at 1-over par after 15 holes.
Thomas bogeyed the 16th hole, but closed out the day with her second eagle of the tournament on the par-5 18th hole to finish the second round at even par.
Baylor leads the team race with a 1-over par score of 577, while the Lady Bears' Gurleen Kaur sits at 2-under par after today's score of 5-under par 67.
The final 18 holes will be played on Wednesday.
The top four teams and two individuals from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, May 20-25, at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
