
Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team, Student-Athletes Earn ITA Academic Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. –– The University of Tulsa women's tennis team was recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team and five student-athletes were named Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced today.
In 2022, 1,517 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 250 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
The women's tennis team had a 3.35 GPA for the 2021-22 academic year. Lian Benedejcic, Lai Conde Monfort, Lily Hutchings, Ana Naranjo Martinez and Shura Poppe were honored as Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes.
To be recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average for the current academic year. Qualification for the ITA All-Academic Team requires a team to possess a GPA of 3.2 or above for the year.
