Tulsa Golfers Place 9th at the Schooner Fall Classic

NORMAN, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Schooner Fall Classic on Tuesday. The Hurricane carded a final round 281 for a 7-over par 847 score at the par-70 Belmar Golf Club.
 
Sophomore Lovisa Gunnar shot a 2-under par 68 for a 209 final sore to finish in 15th place, while fellow sophomore Sydney Seigel had a round of 1-under par 69 and finished with a 20th-place score of 210.
 
A trio of freshmen rounded out the scoring for the Hurricane, with all three scoring solid rounds. Grace Kilcrease had a round of 71 for a final score of 212 to place 32nd overall.
Emily Boehrer and Jenni Roller each recorded rounds of 73 as Boehrer finished in 49th place at 216 and Roller had a 221 final score for 68th place.
 
Florida State held on to capture the tournament title with a score of 12-under par 828.
 
Tulsa will be in action next at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup next Monday-Tuesday, October 3-4 in Dublin, Ohio, before hosting the Dale McNamara Invitational, Oct.10-11, at Cedar Ridge Country Club.
