Monfort Receives No. 102 ITA Preseason Ranking

Tempe, Ariz. — Laia Conde Monfort of The University of Tulsa women's tennis team was ranked 102 out of the nation's top 125 singles players in the fall preseason rankings announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tuesday.
 
This is the second time the senior from Castelló, Spain, has received a preseason ranking as she was ranked No. 74 ahead of last season.
 
Last year Monfort went 18-7 overall in singles, including 14-3 at the No. 1 position, and ended the year on a seven-match win streak at the top singles slot. She went 16-8 in doubles play, including a 14-5 mark at the No. 2 slot.
 
She ended her junior campaign as the 2022 American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year and was a unanimous selection to The American All-Conference team.
 
The Tulsa women will begin the fall season at the Tulsa Invite Sept. 23-25 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
