Game Notes

Tulsa's 12th-ranked men's soccer team will host 3rd-ranked Kentucky on Sunday, September 11 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
 
The Tamale Boyz food truck will be at the game and the first 150 students will receive free tacos. 
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.  Champions Fund Members who donate $300+ get in free.  A list will be at the north ticket gate or you can show your membership card from last year.

Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+.  TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games.  ESPN+ is offered at $6.99/month or $69.99/year.  To subscribe, go to plus.espn.com.  Fans will be able to access ESPN+ content only after they have subscribed.
 
Tulsa is off to a 3-0 start and has scored four goals in each contest.  Alex Meinhard, Thomas Wells and Malik Henry-Scott have each tallied two goals on the season, while Meinhard and Tom Protzek each have two assists.  Eight TU players have scored a goal on the season, while nine players have earned at least one assist.  Alex Lopez has logged 180 minutes in goal, picked up six saves and allowed three goals for a 1.5 GAA, while Cedrik Stern has played 90 minutes and recorded two saves and a clean sheet.
 
The Wildcats are 4-0 on the season with wins over UIC (2-0), Seattle (1-0), Belmont (3-0) and Louisville (3-2), all of which have come at home.  Nick Gutmann, Casper Grening and Eythor Bjorgolfsson have each recorded two goals on the season, while three others have one score.  Gutmann also has a team-leading two assists.  Casper Mols, Isaac Walker and Ryan Jack have combined for six saves for a 0.750 saves percentage, and allowed two goals for a 0.50 GAA.
 
Kentucky has a narrow 7-6-2 lead in the all-time series over Tulsa, including a 2-0 win in 2019 in Lexington when the Wildcats were ranked No. 2 nationally.
