Tulsa’s Kayley Cassaday Brings Home AAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – For the third time this season, Kayley Cassaday was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It's the sixth overall weekly conference award this season for the graduate outside hitter from Overland Park, Kan.
Cassaday helped the Golden Hurricane go 2-1 last week with conference wins at home over the top two teams in The American East Division in East Carolina (18-6, 9-4 AAC) and South Florida (13-10, 7-5 AAC). She averaged 5.62 kills per set on the way to amassing 70 total kills, including 29 kills in the 3-2 victory over the Pirates at home.
Cassaday remains one of the top outside hitters in the nation, ranking second in kills (478), kills per set (5.14), points (516), attacks (1,342), attacks per set (14.43) and third for points per set (5.55). She leads The American in all six benchmarks.
Tulsa will hit the road this week for a two-match series at UTSA (13-11, 6-7) with start times on Friday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m.
