Tulsa Leads Dale McNamara Invitational After Two Rounds

TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa women golfers had a strong finish Monday and hold onto a three-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's final round at the Dale McNamara Invitational. The Hurricane shot rounds of 283-285 for an 8-under par 568 at the par-72 Golf Club of Oklahoma course.

Tulsa holds its three-stroke lead over fellow American Athletic Conference member South Florida. The Bulls made a strong showing with a 9-under round of 279 in the second round for a 5-under par 571 total. Colorado State (573), UTSA (574) and Sam Houston (583) round out the top five teams.

Four Hurricane players rank among the top-15 individuals, as junior Sydney Seigel is in fifth place with a 4-under par 140 total after rounds of 3-under 69 and 1-under 71. Sophomore Jenni Roller sits at 3-under 141 for sixth place, Allyn Stephens is in 11^th place at 1-under 143 and Lilly Thomas has an even-par 144 score for 14^th place.

Grace Kilcrease sits in 27^th place with a 147 total, scoring rounds of 72 and 75.

The Hurricane carded an opening round 5-under 283 total to take a six-stroke lead over Colorado State heading into second round action of the day. Seigel led the way through the first 18 holes with a 3-under 69, while Tulsa's four remaining golfers turned in even or better rounds. Thomas and Roller had 1-under 71 scores, while Stephens and Kilcrease scored even par 70s through the first 18 holes of the day.

Tulsa had three players also compete as individuals including Lovisa Gunnar in 42^nd place, Hanna Robinett in 53^rd place and Norah Seidel in 77^th place.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the final 18 holes. Teams will tee-off at 8:30 a.m.
