Tulsa’s Kayley Cassaday to Attend USA Women’s Collegiate National Team Tryouts

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa senior volleyball student-athlete Kayley Cassaday will head to the USA Women's Collegiate National Team try-outs in Colorado Springs, Colo. The open program runs from Feb. 24-26 in the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

The Collegiate National Team trains alongside the U.S. Women's National Team athletes and staff. Athletes in this program, comprised of current and recently graduated college-age athletes, are taken into consideration for selection to the Women's National Team.
Members of the Women's National Team compete in numerous events year-round, including but not limited to the Summer Olympics, the Volleyball Nations League, the Pan American Cup, the NORCECA Continental Championship and the Pan American Games.
Cassaday led the Golden Hurricane volleyball team in the 2022 season with 525 kills and added 251 digs and 35 total blocks on the way to earning her second consecutive first team all-conference honors. The 5'11" outside hitter was a Second Team Academic All-America selection by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
In her career, Cassaday has totaled 1,281 career kills, putting her in fourth place on the school's all-time kills leaderboard. She has averaged 3.55 points per set and 3.26 kills per set to go along with 515 digs and 153 blocks.
Cassaday will return in 2023 for her super senior season.
