ARDMORE, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team will be in action this week at The Bruzzy, Saturday-Sunday, April 1-2, at the par 70 Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club.
The 15-team field includes Charlotte, Houston, Kansas State, Miami (Fla.), Missouri, Nebraska, host North Texas, Oklahoma, Purdue, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCF, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin.
The 54-hole Bruzzy is the fifth spring event for the Hurricane and 10th overall this season. Tulsa has posted five top-5 performances this year with first-place finishes at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup and the Dale McNamara Invitational.
Tulsa enters the event with the team of senior Lilly Thomas, sophomores Sydney Seigel and Lovisa Gunnar and freshmen Grace Kilcrease and Jenni Roller
Kilcrease leads the Golden Hurricane with a 72.1 stroke average in 26 rounds, while turning in five top-10 finishes in eight events. Thomas has a 73.0 average, with five top-12 finishes in eight tournaments played. Gunnar and Seigel follow with 73.3 and 73.4 stroke averages this season, while Roller has hit at an average of 74.2 in nine tournaments.
The first day will consist of two rounds of 18 holes with the final round of 18 holes coming on Sunday. Both days will be shotgun starts.
