Tulsa Has 10 Runners Qualify for NCAA First Round Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –– A total of 10 Tulsa track & field student-athletes will participate at the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships First Round.
Tulsa will compete in the West First Round at Sacramento State. The Hurricane has seven male and three female competitors.
Representing the Tulsa women are:
Junior Chloe Hershenow in the 5,000-meter run with a qualifying time of 16:05.76.
Sophomore Anna Mager in the 400m hurdles with a qualifying time of 58.54.
Junior Layla Roebke in the 3,000m steeplechase with a qualifying time of 10:07.80.
For the men:
Junior Josh Sutton in the 100m with a qualifying time of 10.24.
Sophomore Shay McEvoy in the 5,000m with a qualifying time of 13:47.43.
Junior Christian Baker in the 3,000m steeplechase with a qualifying time of 8:38.66.
Four Tulsa runners will participate in the 10,000-meter run, including:
Senior Scott Beattie with the third-best qualifying time of 27:58.92.
Senior Cormac Dalton with a qualifying time of 28:04.29 for the eighth best time this season.
Junior Shuaib Aljabaly with a qualifying time of 28:37.67.
Junior Malte Propp with a qualifying time of 28:56.71.
NCAA First Round competition takes place May 24-27.
