Monfort's 2022-23 Results

IRVING, Texas — For the third year in a row, University of Tulsa women's tennis standout Laia Conde Monfort was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, the league announced today. She is now a back-to-back unanimous selection by the league's head coaches.

"We're just so grateful for what she's contributed over her four years at Tulsa," said Head Women's Tennis Coach Dean Orford. "Earning this honor while holding down the top of the lineup exemplifies who she is on and off the court."

A conference Player of the Week (January 31) and fourth-year senior from Castelló, Spain, Monfort led the way for a Golden Hurricane squad that went 14-11 on the year and finished third overall in the conference championship. She ended her final year at Tulsa with an 18-11 overall record and a 14-7 mark at No. 1 Singles.

During the fall season, she competed with teammate Maria Berlanga Bandera during the ITA All-American Championships and the ITA Central Regional Championships. In the latter tournament, the duo would go on to win the doubles consolation bracket, capped off with an 8-6 victory over Kansas' Silvia Maria Costache and Carmen Roxana Manu.

Paired with Ana Naranjo Martinez at No. 2 Doubles, she posted a 12-9 record and secured the doubles point for Tulsa against Wyoming, Purdue, Furman, San Diego State, Tulane, Cincinnati and Wichita State (April 20).

Monfort caps off her four-year career at Tulsa with a 65-30 singles record and a 54-41 doubles mark.
