Roller And Stephens 3-Over-Par Through Day One of Patriot All-America Classic

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. –– The University of Tulsa women's golfers Allyn Stephens and Jenni Roller finished the first round of the 2024 Patriot All-America Classic in a tie for 51st as both shot a 3-over-par 73 on the Wigwam Golf Resort on Sunday.
Stephens started on hole 10 and got her Classic underway with a birdie. A double bogey on 11 and bogeys on 13 and 14 had her three strokes over par heading into her final nine holes. Stephens started her back nine with six straight pars, giving her nine straight overall. The streak was snapped by a bogey on seven before she birdied eight and finished with a par on nine for a 73.
Roller, who began her round at hole one, struggled on the front nine before an impressive back nine got her back into contention. She bogeyed on four of her first five holes before a birdie on six. A double bogey on seven meant she was 5-over heading into the back nine. She started the final nine holes with a bogey on 10 before birdies on 12 and 14. After another bogey on 16, Roller closed with consecutive birdies on 17 and 18 to shoot 3-over for the day.
The duo play in the same group in round two of the Classic. Their group tees off at 11:20 a.m. (CT) from the 10th hole.
