
Tulsa Men’s Tennis Falls to Arkansas

TULSA, Okla. — The 61st-ranked Tulsa men's tennis team fell 4-1 to the No. 60 Arkansas Razorbacks Wednesday night on the indoor courts at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Golden Hurricane fell to 3-5 on the year, while the Razorbacks improved to 8-3 overall.
Tulsa got out to an early 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point, as the home team won points at the No. 1 and 3 positions. Pierce Rollins and Timothy Seger won the No. 1 spot with a 6-3 victory, while Victor Toesetto and Alex Okonkwo clinched the doubles point for the Hurricane with a 6-4 win.
Arkansas clinched the match with singles wins at the Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 6 slots, including straight set victories at the second, third and sixth positions. Tulsa left two of their matches unfinished as Rollins at No. 1 and Tosetto at the No. 5 spot forced their matches into three sets.
Tulsa heads to Lincoln, Neb., this weekend for matches against Texas Tech on Saturday at 2 pm., and Nebraska on Sunday at 12 p.m.
