Hurricane to Compete at Windy City Invite, Gorilla Classic

TULSA, Okla. — It's a big weekend for the Golden Hurricane track and field team as Tulsa will compete in two meets from Friday through Saturday in preparations for the American Athletic Conference Championships later this month, Feb. 23-24.
Tulsa will see 24 athletes—12 women and 12 men—compete in 17 events at the Windy City Invite, an annual meet featuring 17 programs, eight of which are from the Big 10, and hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers in Chicago. An additional 16 TU runners will head back to Pittsburg, Kan., for the third and final time this season to compete in Pittsburg State's 9th Annual Gorilla Classic. Nine men and seven women will race in up to 15 events.
Senior Shay McEvoy will make his indoor season debut in Chicago, where he'll race in the second or third sections of the 3,000-meter run alongside teammates James Knockton and Charlie Krasnoff.
