Tulsa Golfers Finish Opening Round at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. –– The Tulsa women's golf team finished opening round action at the Mountain View Collegiate with a round of 303 Friday at The Preserve Golf Club. The Golden Hurricane sit in a 14th-place tie with Arkansas State in the three-day, 54-hole tournament.
Fellow American Athletic Conference member South Florida sits in first place after a round of 6-under par 282. The Bulls are followed by Houston (286), Texas A&M (289), Kansas State (289) and Missouri (290) to round out the top five schools.
Tulsa's top four golfers are within two strokes of each other as redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens and junior Sydney Seigel led the way with identical 3-over par 75 scores for 43rd place. Sophomores Jenni Roller is one stroke and Grace Kilcrease two strokes behind their teammates. Roller carded a 4-over par 76 for 52nd place and Kilcrease is in 61st place with a score of 77.
Sirah Steinhoff carded a round of 84 for 81st place.
Second round action tees off tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. (PT)/9:45 a.m. (CT) at the par 72 course. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
