INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The University of Tulsa's Pierce Rollins, ranked No. 59 in the nation, will take on No. 10 Alex Martinez in the NCAA Singles Round of 64 today at 9 a.m. The winner will face either Ohio State's JJ Tracy (No. 19) or Texas A&M's JC Roddick (No. 42) in Tuesday's Round of 32. Fans can watch all the action on ESPN+.

Rollins, an at-large selection, makes the NCAA singles championship for the first time in his career, and it's the 30th time a Tulsa player has been selected for the Big Dance. A Tulsa native, Rollins makes the cut as the nation's 63rd-ranked singles player in the April 26 ITA rankings and stands as the second-highest-ranked athlete in the American Athletic Conference behind SMU's No. 41 Trevor Svajda.

In 2024, Rollins was Tulsa's go-to man at the No. 1 position and enters the tournament with a 14-13 overall record and a 13-10 mark in dual matches after winning his last eight head-to-head contests atop the lineup. He is 4-5 on the year against nationally ranked opponents with wins against No. 33 Svajda (SMU), No. 55 Pablo Alemany (Memphis), No. 65 Alvin Tudorica (South Florida) and No. 69 Paul Inchauspe (Princeton).

Rollins will look to draw on his NCAA experience from his three-year career with the Texas A&M Aggies, who reached the Big Dance in each of the last three seasons with Rollins on the roster. Last year, he took down SMU's Antonio Muniz-Hidalgo in two quick sets at the No. 3 spot.
