Tulsa Golfers Finish Runner-Up at The Match Play

NORMAN, Okla. – The Tulsa women's golf team finished in second place after advancing to the championship match of The Match Play at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club Tuesday afternoon and
After trailing for a good portion of its semifinal match, the Hurricane pulled out a 3-2 victory over North Texas. Golden Hurricane wins came from juniors Lovisa Gunnar at 5&3 and Sydney Seigel 2&1, and redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens won 2&1.
In the championship match, Oklahoma pulled out a 3-1-1 win over the Hurricane as Stephens won Tulsa's lone match 2&1 over OU's Regan Chaney.
Gunnar, Seigel and Stephens each won two matches at the two-day event.
