Tulsa Golfers Move Up Four Spots After Second Round at NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. –– The Tulsa women golfers sit in 26th place following second round play at the NCAA Championship, moving up four spots heading into Sunday's third round. The Golden Hurricane carded a 13-over par score of 301 for a 36-hole total of 604 at the par 72 La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.

Texas A&M moved into the lead after second round action with an 11-under par 585 score, followed by Stanford (570), first-round leader Clemson (573), UCLA (574) and Auburn and LSU (575) tied for fifth place to round out the top five spots.

The top-15 teams following Sunday's third round will advance to the final stroke play round on Monday with the top-8 advancing to match-play.

Tulsa sophomore Grace Kilcrease turned in a 1-under par 71 on Saturday to finish with a two-day total of 3-over 147 for 50th place to pace the Hurricane.  After opening the day with a double bogey on the par-4 first hole, Kilcrease bounced back to go 3-under for the remaining 17 holes and finished the day with her 1-under total score.

Sydney Seigel carded a 3-over par 75 and sits in 62nd place with a 4-over par 148 total. Fellow junior Lovisa Gunnar is in 119th place with a 10-over par 154 score.

Sophomore Jenni Roller turned in a second-round score of 77 to tie teammate Allyn Stephens for 141st place with total scores of 157. Stephens scored a round of 78 on Saturday.
