
Men's Tennis Finishes Action at ITA Central Regional Championships

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team concluded play at the ITA Central Regional in Norman, Okla., on Saturday, highlighted by a deep doubles run from Calum Jestin and Connor Doig, who reached the semifinals.
In singles action, Nikita Volonski's strong tournament came to an end with a 6-1, 7-5 loss to Oklahoma's Johan Alexander Rodriguez Rodriguez in the quarterfinal round.
Jestin and Doig advanced to the semifinals in doubles after earning a hard-fought 8(7)-7(4) win over Oklahoma's Bruno Nhavene and Oscar Lacides in the quarterfinals. The pair's run ended in a close 5-7, 6(2)-7(7) battle against Oklahoma's Orel Kimhi and Rodriguez Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Volonski and Takeshi Taco also reached the doubles quarterfinals but fell 8-5 to another Oklahoma duo.
