Brayden Hipp Earns Third American Setter of the Week Award

Olivia Vance Also Named a Weekly Honorable Mention
IRVING, Texas — For the third time this season and second week in a row, the American Conference has named Golden Hurricane volleyball junior Brayden Hipp the American Setter of the Week. Her teammate Olivia Vance also took home her third Weekly Honorable Mention this season.
Hipp led another outstanding offensive effort for TU in the 3-0 home sweeps over Memphis and UAB last weekend. She averaged 11.17 assists per set for 67 total assists, while putting up 4.33 digs in each stanza. Hipp also finished with a .447 setting percentage and earned her sixth double-double this year with 29 assists and 20 digs against Memphis on Sunday. She also had four setter dump kills against the Tigers and led the Golden Hurricane with two blocks in Friday's win over UAB.
Hipp, a product of Fort Myers, Fla., is setting better than every player in the conference through seven weeks of the season. She leads the American with 9.56 assists per set for 612 total assists.
Vance comes away with her third Weekly Honorable Mention after leading the attack for Tulsa in the wins over UAB and Memphis. From nearby Bixby, Okla., the junior outside hitter averaged 4.25 points (25.5) and four kills (24) per set, leading TU with 12 kills in both matches. She also chipped in seven digs over the weekend and two blocks in the sweep over the Tigers.
American Conference play continues this weekend as Tulsa hits the road to rematch Memphis on Friday, October 17 (7 p.m.) and UAB on Sunday, October 19 (1 p.m.). Both contests will air on ESPN+.

Ball Kid Signups
The Tulsa Volleyball team is looking for ball kids for the 2025 season. Ball kids and one accompanying parent or guardian will receive free admission for games they sign up for. Ball kids will retrieve balls that go out of bounds on the sidelines for the entire game and provide a fresh ball for servers. Only ages 10-12 are allowed to participate. Individual and group signups will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up by clicking HERE.
