TU Places Third at Route 66 Invite Honoring Dale McNamara

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Tulsa Women's Golf team closed out its fall slate on Tuesday, when they earned a third-place finish at the Route 66 Invitational honoring Dale McNamara.
 
The Golden Hurricane shot 17-over par 869 to earn a third-place finish. Arkansas shot 11-under par 841 to claim the team crown. To view the complete leaderboard, click here.
 
Improving eight spots on the leaderboard on the final day was Jenni Roller. Roller earned a seventh-place finish after carding a two-under par 69 in the final round. Over the course of the 54-hole tournament, 214. This was her second round of the tournament under par.
 
Coming in tied for 20th was Zoe Shamy. The freshman shot a final round of two-over par 73. She finished the event five-over par 218. This was her second top 25 finish of the season.

Following Shamy was Allyn Stephens. Like Shamey, Stephens shot two-over par 73 in the final round. This was her lowest round of the tournament. She finished seven-over par 220 to finish tied for 25th.
 
Earning her best collegiate finish of the season was Jeanne Pagnier. She earned a tied for 34th place finish, after shooting 10-over par 223. She closed the tournament with a round of four-over par 75.
 
Samantha Olson rounded out the team for TU. She finished tied for 48th at the event. She was 13 over par 226 after 54 holes. She shot a round of seven-over par 78 on the final round.
 
Golfing as individuals, Hanna Robinett shot her best round of the tournament in the final round. She carded a score of two-over par 73, improving six spots on the leaderboard. She finished tied for 53rd at 14-over par 227. The 73 is the lowest round of Robinett's career.
 
Madison Roach also played as an individual and shot a 10-over-par 81 on the day. She finished 78th with a score of 29-over par 242.
 
Tulsa returns to action on Friday, January 30th, when they head to Guadalajara, Mexico, to compete in the Collegiate Invitational. The University of Virginia will be hosting the event.
