
Tulsa Sends Distance Runners to Two Meets

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa track and field teams will send nine distance runners to two premier meets this week. Four women will represent the Golden Hurricane Wednesday and Thursday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., while five men will get a tune-up at the Wake Forest Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
Freshman Sara Morefield will compete in Wednesday's steeplechase open at 8:25 p.m. Central. Thursday will showcase Matilda Laidlaw in the 5,000m Open B race, while junior 800m duo Sarah Hosey and Billie Rouse will run at 5:50 to wrap up the action in California.
On the men's side, redshirt freshman Ben Brown will be the lone Hurricane in the 10,000m Thursday night, slated to start at 8:40 p.m. On Friday, brothers Brady and Sean Korsmo will take on the 1,500m together at 12:15 before sophomore Andrew Lutkenhaus and freshman Korban Murphy race in the 800m at 3:35.
