BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The Tulsa Women's Golf program is the 2025 American Conference Champions! The Golden Hurricane won by 21 shots, while Romaine Masserey claimed the school's first individual champion in the American Athletic Conference.
"The team played with incredible discipline, stayed true to the game plan, and trusted their own process to achieve success," head coach Mike Roters said. "We had put in the work all spring, so my role was really just to create an environment where they could unleash their potential—and they certainly did. I'm so proud of what they accomplished. Winning a conference championship is no easy feat, and they got it done."
The Golden Hurricane won the American Conference Women's Golf Championship, earning an automatic berth into the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals. This will be the third straight season TU has made a regional appearance.
Heading into the final round, Masserey held a share of the lead, went off the front nine, and shot one-over par. Heading to her final nine, Masserey had some work to do to get the lead. She birdied three of the first four holes to get close to the lead. Her last-round birdie came on hole 16, giving her the lead. She went on to win her first event at TU as she shot 7-under par for the Championship.
Jenni Roller came in, finished tied for sixth, and shot her best round of the Championship in the final round. She was three-under-par 69 in the final round and moved up three spots on the leaderboard. She was two-under-par for the Championship.
Sydney Seigel moved up five spots on the leaderboard on the final day. After shooting two-over on the front nine, Seigel bounced back and had four birdies on the back nine. She had a stretch of three straight birdies on holes 12, 13 and 14. She finished the day two under par. She was even-par for the Championship and finished tied for seventh.
Allyn Stephens rounded out the Golden Hurricane as she fired a round of three-over-par 75 in the final round. She finished tied for 36th place at 11-over-par.
The Golden Hurricane returns to action on May 5-7 when they compete at the NCAA Regionals. TU will find out where they will head for regionals on April 23 at 12 p.m. CT when the NCAA announces the field. This will air on the Golf Channel.

Tulsa's win is its second at the American Conference Championship and the first since 2021. The 21-stroke margin of victory is the largest by a current member school. TU placed four golfers in the top 10 at the AAC Championship.Champions Crowned! 👑#ReignCane pic.twitter.com/Y0GcVxqQSp
