Women’s Golf Set to Compete in NCAA Norman Regional

NORMAN, Okla. –– The Tulsa Women's Golf program is set to compete in its 21st regional appearance when they tee off at the NCAA Norman Regional on Monday. The Golden Hurricane earned an automatic berth into the field by winning the American Athletic Conference Championship.
Due to expected inclement weather, the 54-hole event will consist of 36-holes on Monday and 18-holes on either Tuesday or Wednesday. After the 54-holes, the top five teams in each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, which will take place in Carlsbad, California on May 16.
The Golden Hurricane came into the NCAA Norman Regional after winning the American Conference Championship by 21 strokes. TU has been playing its best golf at the end of the season, with three top-five finishes over its last three events.
The 21-stroke margin of victory at the American Athletic Conference Championship was the largest by a current member school.
Tulsa's win at the American Athletic Conference Championship was its first conference title since 2021. Romaine Masserey became the first player in TU history to win the AAC individual championship. The Golden Hurricane played four golfers in the top 10 at the AAC Championship.
THE COURSE
The Norman Reginal will be played at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. It will be played as a par-72, 6,445 yards for the 54-hole event. Due to expected inclement weather, the 54-hole event will consist of 36-yoles on Monday and 18-holes on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Tulsa is one of 12 teams competing at the NCAA Norman Regional. Five of the 12 schools are ranked in the top 25. The other schools participating are No. 1 Stanford, No. 12 Northwester, No. 13 North Carolina, No. 24 Michigan State, No. 25 Duke, Oklahoma, Baylor, Oregon State, Denver, Furman and Southern Miss.

Competing for Tulsa in the event are graduate Romaine Masserey, seniors Lovisa Gunnar and Sydney Seigel, junior Jenni Roller and sophomore Allyn Stephens.
TEE TIMES
Monday will begin with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. Tulsa's golfers will be paired with Oregon State and Baylor over the first day of competition and start on hole one from 8:25 a.m. to 9:09 a.m.
The Golden Hurricane will be led off by Allyn Stephens at 8:25 a.m. She will be followed by Sydney Seigel (8:36 a.m.), Lovisa Gunnar (8:47 a.m.), Jenni Roller (8:58 a.m.) and Romaine Masserey (9:09 a.m.)
