Hurricane Shuts Out Oral Roberts Twice

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa men's tennis team is back to .500 after posting a pair of 4-0 wins over cross-town foe Oral Roberts in a Wednesday doubleheader on the Michael D. Case Tennis Center outdoor courts, improving to 12-12 on the season with just three regular season dual matches left to play, including two at home this Sunday, April 6.

Tulsa nabbed the doubles point in both contests Wednesday, starting with a 6-3 clinch at one court all by redshirt freshman Calum Jestin and redshirt junior Will Pellegrini in the No. 2 position. Junior Luis Felipe Miguel and Gus Tettamble would clinch the second doubles point of the day for TU, landing a 6-3 win together for their 13^th win together.

True freshman Connor Doig was the only TU player to come away with two singles wins on the day as both dual matches would be clinched and ended by the Hurricane at four team points. Doig produced a 6-4, 6-3 winner in the sixth position in the afternoon before knocking out a 6-1, 6-3 result in the fifth spot in the evening match.

The rest of the singles lineup dominated with the Hurricane dropping only three combined sets between the seven players that stepped foot on a court for Tulsa.

The Tulsa men will host Creighton (12-7) and Wichita State (9-9) in a Senior Day doubleheader for the 2025 home finale on Sunday, April 6, at 8 a.m. and noon, respectively.
