Tulsa’s Brayden Hipp Named American Setter of the Week

Olivia Vance Also Tabbed a Weekly Honorable Mention
IRVING, Texas — After a perfect 4-0 week without a single dropped set, Tulsa volleyball's Brayden Hipp has been named the American Conference Setter of the Week, the league announced Monday. In addition, Olivia Vance, the Golden Hurricane's leading scorer for the week, was tabbed as a Weekly Honorable Mention.
Hailing from Fort Myers, Fla., Hipp coordinated an unstoppable offense for Tulsa, earning a sweep over Abilene Christian on Monday and taking three-set victories over New Mexico State, Oral Roberts and Little Rock over last weekend at the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational. She averaged 11.5 assists (138) and 2.08 digs (25) per set as Tulsa's primary setter in a 5-1 rotation to finish with a .413 setting percentage with 334 attempts. Hipp peaked with 42 assists in the sweep over Little Rock, while adding three blocks and two aces during the week.
From nearby Bixby, Okla., Vance put together 44.5 points (4.05/set) and 42 kills (3.82/set) as Tulsa's leading attacker. She hit for .405 over the four wins (42 kills-10 errors-79 total attacks) and recorded 15 kills in each of the sweeps over Oral Roberts and Little Rock. Vance was named named Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team after going 3-0 at the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational.
Tulsa starts conference play this weekend on the road with contests at UTSA (6 p.m.) on Friday, September 26, and Rice (1 p.m.) on Sunday, September 28.

Ball Kid Signups
The Tulsa Volleyball team is looking for ball kids for the 2025 season. Ball kids and one accompanying parent or guardian will receive free admission for games they sign up for. Ball kids will retrieve balls that go out of bounds on the sidelines for the entire game and provide a fresh ball for servers. Only ages 10-12 are allowed to participate. Individual and group signups will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up by clicking HERE.
