Women’s Golf Sits Third After Day One of Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Tulsa women's golf team sits in third place after the first 36 holes of the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate. Tulsa shot 30-over par 606 over the first two rounds of the tournament.
Samantha Olson leads the Golden Hurricane after the first 36 holes. Olson fired her seventh round of the season at par or better in round one. Olson shot two-under par 70 in the first round and was one of two players under par after the first round. She finished the day tied for fifth after her second round, shooting four-over par 148.
Jenni Roller and teammate Zoe Shamy came in tied for 18th after day one. The duo is eight over par 152. Roller shot a first round of three-over par 75 before going five-over par 77 in the second round.
Shamy shot a first round of six-over par 78 to open the day but responded with a strong second 18 holes. She fired a two-over-par 74. This was her tenth round of the season at 74 or better.
Allyn Stephens followed for the Golden Hurricane as she sits tied for 26th after the first 36 holes. Stephens was consistent on the day as she fired two rounds of five-over par 77.
Jeanne Pagnier rounded out the team scoring for TU. Pagnier shot rounds of six-over par and nine-over par for a day one total of 15-over par 159 and tied for 50th.
Playing as an individual, Hanna Robinett finished the first day of action. Robinett shot rounds of 16-over par in the first round. In the second round, Robinet shot a score of nine-over par. She is 25 over par 169, and in 77th place.
Tulsa returns to action on Tuesday for the final round of the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate hosted by North Florida. Tulsa will tee off at 8:20 a.m. and play with Oklahoma State, Florida Gulf Coast, and Augusta.

"We didn't have our best day, however, team is very competitive and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we don't close the gap on the leaders," remarked Head Coach Mike Roters. "I'm seeing a lot of solid stuff from our team and we will only continue to grow and get better as the spring goes on."
Oklahoma State leads the tournament, holding a two-shot lead over Florida Gulf Coast. Oklahoma State is 14-over par 590 to lead the field. To view the complete leaderboard, click here.
