Women’s Golf Heads to the Sunshine State

TULSA, Okla.  –  The Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's golf team heads to the Sunshine State to participate in the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, hosted by North Florida on Feb. 23-24. The event will be held at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.  
 
The tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
 
The last time the team took the course was at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara. Battling illness, the Golden Hurricane battled at the event and earned a seventh-place finish. Samantha Olson earned her best collegiate finish with a runner-up showing.
 
This is her first top-five finish as she shot three-under par 213. She had two rounds under par at the event to lead TU. Jenni Roller continued her strong play for Tulsa. She tied for tenth as she shot even-par 216.
 
Following the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, Tulsa heads to the Annika More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of American. This event will run from March 1-3 at the Old Barnwell Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.

THE COURSE
Jacksonville Golf & Country Club's 18-hole championship Golf Course, with twin signature greens on holes 9 & 18 is one of the finest private Country Club Course layouts in the state of Florida. Earning the title of 2019, 2020 & 2022 Jax Best Golf Course, golfers from all over the world have fallen in love with its charm.
 
The course is par 72 at 6,348 yards.

THE FIELD
Tulsa is one of 15 teams competing at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate. Joining the Golden Hurricane and host North Florida are South Alabama, Augusta, Miami (Fla.), Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast, South Florida, Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, Campbell, Sam Houston, and Oklahoma State.
 
THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Competing for Tulsa in the event are Samantha Olson, Jenni Roller, Allyn Stephens, Jeanne Pagnier, and Zoe Shamy. Competing as an individual will be Hanna Robinett.

TEE TIMES
Play will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Tulsa will start on holes 1 through 4. Hanna Robinett, who is playing as an individual will start on hole 18.
