
Tulsa Falls to No. 5 TCU in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas – Tulsa men's tennis dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 5 TCU on Thursday evening at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Golden Hurricane moved to 5-5 on the season, while the Horned Frogs improved to 7-1.
TCU secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Cooper Woestendick and Oliver Bonding earned a 6-1 victory over Calum Jestin and Connor Doig at the top spot, while Cosme Rolland De Ravel and Duncan Chan topped Nikita Volonski and Timothy Carlsson Seger, 6-2, on court two. The third doubles match was unfinished, with Tulsa's Victor Tosetto and Gus Tettamble trailing 5-4.
In singles play, TCU clinched the match with straight-set wins on courts two, four and six. Oliver Bonding defeated Carlsson Seger, 6-1, 6-2, on court two, before Roger Pascual earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Doig at No. 4. The deciding point came on court six, where No. 105 Maximus Dussault topped Jestin, 6-1, 6-2.
Two singles matches were left unfinished at the time of the clinch. Ruben Fernandez trailed Albert Pedrico 6-3, 4-3 on court three, while Tosetto was down 6-4, 4-0 against No. 61 Julian Alonso on court five.
Tulsa will return to action this weekend as the Golden Hurricane host Creighton and San Diego State for a Sunday doubleheader. Matches will take place at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
