TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa men's tennis hosts Pacific and Penn in a home doubleheader on Mar. 12 at Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Golden Hurricane and Tigers will meet at 10 a.m., followed by Tulsa facing No. 40 Penn at 5 p.m.

Scouting Pacific

  • No. 40 Penn is 9-5 on the season but is currently on a two-match road losing streak.
  • Penn boasts the No. 2 ranked doubles pair in Manfredi Graziani and Aaron Sandler, and Graziani is ranked the nation's No. 52 singles player.
  • Most recently, the Quakers fell 4-3 to Oklahoma State.
  • Tulsa and Penn have five shared opponents during the 2026 season. The Golden Hurricane are 2-3 against those teams, while the Quakers are 2-4, having faced Cornell twice.

Last Matchup
  • Tulsa men's tennis (10-8) earned a 4-2 win over South Florida (3-11) on Sunday afternoon at Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The victory marked the Golden Hurricane's 10th win of the 2026 season.
  • In doubles, Tulsa again fought through a close battle. For the second match in a row, the doubles point came down to a tiebreaker on court two. While the breaker fell against Tulsa in the previous match against FAU, Nikita Volonski and Timothy Carlsson Seger battled back this time to take the clinching doubles win, 7-6 (9-7).
  • In singles, South Florida struck first with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Doig. Carlsson Seger responded quickly, putting Tulsa back in front with a 7-5, 6-1 victory to give the Hurricane a 2-1 lead. Tulsa continued to build momentum from there, with Takeshi Taco defeating USF's Ettore Danesi, 7-5, 6-1, to extend the advantage. The Bulls answered by claiming the lone three-set match of the afternoon, as Ruben Fernandez fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
  • With two courts remaining, Volonski secured the match-clinching point, earning his third clinch of the season with a win over #122 Elijah Cham. The contest was tightly contested, with both sets going to tiebreakers, but Volonski pulled away in each breaker.
