Track Heads to Denton for American Outdoor Track and Field Championships

DENTON, Texas – Tulsa track and field is set to begin postseason competition at the American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday, with action continuing through the weekend.
The event will be held May 14th through 16th in Denton, Texas, at UNT's Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium. Live coverage of all days will be available on ESPN+.
Tulsa holds 54 entries across the three days of competition, with all but one coming in track events. Isabella Famiglietti is the lone Golden Hurricane in a field event, entered to compete in the women's long jump. Full entries are available on start lists on NTX Timing.
On the women's side, TU has entries in the 100 m prelims, 200 m prelims, 400 m prelims, 400 m hurdles prelims, 800 m prelims, 1500 m prelims, 3000 m steeple, 5000 m, 10000 m, 4x100 m relay and 4x400 m relay.
For the men, entries are split among the 400 m prelims, 400 m hurdle prelims, 800 m prelims, 1500 m prelims, 3000 m steeple, 5000 m, 10000 m, 4x100 m relay and 4x400 m relay.
At the 2025 American Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the men's program finished in eighth place, while the Golden Hurricane women placed 11th. At the event, the men earned four All-Conference finishes, including two by Shay McEvoy in the 5000 and 10000 m. Sara Morefield was the 3000 m steeple champion and looks to repeat this year.
