2019-20 (INDOOR): Competed in the 800-meter run prelims at The American Indoor Track and Field Championships, earning a time of 1:56.04 … posted a PR time of 1:53.66 in the 800m at the Iowa State Classic … at the Crimson & Gold Invitational, crossed the finish line in the mile run at 4:23.92, a personal-best.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year track and field letterwinner and three-year cross country letterwinner at Marquette High School … was named all-state in cross country and track and field as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born Mason Lane Walters on April 23, 2001, in Chesterfield, Mo. … son of Mark and Leigh Walters … has one sister … started running track at the age of 14 … the best advice he’s received is that fulfillment doesn’t come from the world, it comes from above … his hobbies include reading, listening to music and playing sports … the most memorable place he’s been to is Disney World … majoring in chemical engineering.
